Learn to Play

Ages 4-14

The FUTURE RANGERS Learn to Play program provides a solid foundation in all the fundamental skating and hockey skills that a player needs. The experienced coaches have designed a range of classes to cover all skill levels.

U8 Cross Ice Challenge League

Ages 8 & Under – Spring info coming soon!

Skylands U8 Cross Ice Challenge Development League is a league for kids 8 and under. The league offers one practice and a one game slot per weekend for approx 11 weeks. The emphasis is on fun, skill progression, and player development. It is designed using guidelines of USA Hockey’s ADM with focus on individual skating , skills as well as more puck touches per player.

Youth Spring Leagues and Programs

Ages 18 & Under

Skylands Youth Spring Hockey Leagues are spirited, energetic, and fun youth hockey programs for the recreational to travel level player. Our mission is to offer the very best hockey experience to every player in our program. For the Spring of 2018 we will offer rec leagues for players in the age groups of 9-12.  For Players over 12 we will have a combined league of recreational plus travel level players.

Our 2018 Spring “Elite” program is for the experienced players to practice as well as attend 1-2 spring/summer elite tournaments.  On ice practice instruction will be performed by Hockey Director, Pat Choules (Div III Potsdam Alumni); Adam Mitchell (Div I RIT Alumni & Jr Kings Head Coach) and Tom Huber (Rutgers, ACHA & Jr Kings Assistant Coach).  Tournaments will be determined at a later date to coordinate schedules.

Skylands Kings

Ages 18 & Under

First class coaching and a commitment to excellence, The Skylands Kings are a USA Hockey Tier II minor hockey organization that plays in the NJYHL, and is  dedicated to the development of youth hockey players, both on and off the ice.

The 2018-19 coaching list and tryout information will be posted shortly.

We plan to field an AA, A & B team at all levels.
